By using Cyberpolis you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Cyberpolis is a non-commercial research project — there are no ads, no paid tiers, and nothing here is for sale.
2. What this site actually is
Cyberpolis is a research instrument that maps political positions. Every argument attributed to a named public figure on this site is AI-generated: a language model's imputation of what that figure might say, based on their public record. No named figure wrote, reviewed, approved, or endorsed anything here. The positions shown on the map are statistical estimates produced by our published method — commentary on public figures' public positions, not statements of fact about what any person believes — and they carry the uncertainty our methods describe.
Positions labeled "self-argued" are what an AI model wrote in its own voice under our prompts. They describe that model's output under this instrument, not an official statement of any company.
3. What you can do
Take the questionnaire, see where you land on the map, write your own answers, save a profile, and share it by link. Personal, non-commercial use only. Don't scrape the site at abusive rates, probe for other people's profiles, or present Cyberpolis output as a figure's actual words.
4. Your content
You own what you write. By saving a profile you grant us a non-exclusive license to store it, display it to people you share the link with, and analyze it in anonymized, aggregate form for the research this site exists to do. We do not sell your writing and we do not use it to train AI models. You can delete your data at any time — see the privacy policy.
Content you attach to a shared profile must be lawful. We may remove shared profiles that carry threats, harassment, doxxing, spam, or other abuse — a shared profile renders under our domain, and we won't host that.
5. Named figures and takedown
Cyberpolis names real public figures and generates arguments in their style as clearly-labeled AI imputation. If you are a depicted figure (or their representative) and want your name removed, corrected, or annotated, use the takedown process. Removal on complaint is the default posture: the name comes down promptly while any review happens, not after it.
6. No warranties
The site is provided "as-is." It might go down. The map is a model output with known error bars, not ground truth. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of anything shown here, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero.
7. Changes
These terms may change as the project evolves. The effective date above moves when they do; material changes will be noted on this page. These are self-drafted v0 terms — before public-launch traffic, the operator intends to have a lawyer review and revise them. Questions or concerns: contact the operator via the about page.
