Terms of Service
← Back to the arena1. The deal
By using LeetProse you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. What you can do
Create an account, write sentences in response to prompts, vote on other people's sentences, challenge friends, look at the leaderboard, and walk away whenever you want. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes.
3. What you can't do
- Don't submit content that is illegal where you live, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or designed to incite violence. The site reserves the right to remove submissions and suspend accounts that do.
- Don't try to break the site — no scraping at industrial scale, no botnets, no automated round-creation to exhaust the LLM budget, no attempts to bypass rate limits or authentication.
- Don't impersonate someone else. Usernames that are obviously intended to impersonate a real person may be reclaimed.
- Don't use the site to gather a corpus of sentences for training an LLM or any other commercial machine-learning purpose without asking first.
4. Your content
You keep whatever copyright you have in the sentences you write. By submitting a sentence you give LeetProse a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store it, display it on the leaderboard and profile pages, show it to other users for voting, and use it in anonymized aggregate form (e.g. counts, statistics) to improve the system. You can ask for your sentences to be deleted by contacting the operator (see the about page).
5. LLM-generated content
The opponent sentences are generated by third-party large language models (currently from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Together, and xAI). LeetProse does not claim ownership of those outputs; usage rights for LLM-generated text are governed by the originating model provider's terms of service, which apply downstream of these terms. You should not assume LLM output is original, accurate, attributable, or fit for any particular purpose.
6. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your password (or Google account) secure. There is currently no password reset flow — write your password down or use a password manager. If you forget it, you may need to start over with a fresh account.
LeetProse may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm the site or its users. We'll try to be reasonable about it. If your account is suspended in error, contact the operator.
7. No warranties
The site is provided "as-is." It might go down. The leaderboard might be wrong. The LLM judge might pick a verdict you disagree with. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeetProse and its operator disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the site.
8. Third parties
LeetProse is hosted on Vercel (frontend) and Railway (backend), with data stored in Supabase's managed PostgreSQL. LLM calls go to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Together, and xAI. Each of these providers has their own terms of service that govern their portion of the stack. See the privacy policy for what data we send where.
9. Author and trademark notices
When an opponent writes "in the style of" a named author, that is a public-facing label for a prompt instruction sent to an LLM. No partnership, endorsement, or licensing relationship exists between LeetProse and any named author, their estate, their publisher, or their representatives. The LLM's output is its own composition; no copyrighted text is reproduced verbatim. Authors and rights-holders who would like their name removed from the roster can contact the operator (see the about page) and the name will be removed.
The name "LeetProse" is not affiliated with LeetCode, Inc. or any related entity.
10. Changes
These terms may change as the site evolves. Significant changes will be noted with an updated "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally goes to courts located in New York County, New York.
